During World War One, a U.S. Marine took the dogtags off of a fallen Leatherneck and assumed his identity as Pvt. George Clark escaping his previous life. On “Black Tuesday” in 1929, millionaire George Clark lost his fortune and became the vigilante Yellow Jacket. Running from the law during the Dust Bowl era, he fought bad men along the way until captured by the FBI. Making a deal with the government, the vigilante turned hero to help out during the Second World War to fight the Axis Powers.
Xiaowen Li is a Chinese doctor that has taken on his family’s mantle as the protector of the people at the onslaught of the Second World War as Japan invades his country. Becoming an International Hero, he joins The Star-Spangled Squadron to fight the Axis Powers and often found himself partner with Yellow Jacket on adventures.
The 1940’s Private Investigator with Hips, Lips, and lots of Quip! Dottie Tittenhurst is a divorced gumshoe detective in the city of St. François de Port during World War Two. She is new to the game being a former secretary and is now a college student studying forensic science.

While college student Victor Richardson was on expedition, he stumbled upon an ancient Egyptian artifact called The Ankh of Khepri that housed a Blue Beetle amulet gifting him with powers beyond those of mortal men. A hulking man with a kind heart, when he loses his temper, he is a destructive force and is the powerhouse of the Star-Spangled Squadron. Returning to America, he fights crime as The Sacred Scarab in Windmill City.
Son of the Golden Emerald Mantis, Kanbum “Britt” Li is the 1960’s-70’s martial arts hero that has succeeded his father in taking on the mantle. He is on a mission of vengeance with his own son to take down Count Drakul’s Blood Dragon Fighting Society.
Robert Loxley survived a plane crash in the Yukon to later learn from a Celtic deity that he is the spiritual reincarnation of Robin Hood needed to fight a rising Teutonic threat on Earth in the days leading up to the beginning of the Second World War. He patrols Sherwood Forest in New Nottinghamshire, Alaska and the breakaway island off the coast where Tsar City is located.

A young man who joined the Marine Corps to fight in the Banana Wars and later World War One in Europe and earned the nickname “Bulldog”, he was the commander of a battalion that included a young Pvt. George Clark who would later become The Yellow Jacket. At the outbreak of World War Two, Lt. Col. Lee After the Battle of Guadalcanal, Lee was given dual assignment responsibilities of being placed in temporary command of the 2nd Special Service Forces – an international special task commando made up of various elite Allied Force personnel and the brainchild of the O.S.S. – known as “Bulldog’s Brigade”. The commando team would take on highly classified missions in both theaters of operation in cooperation with the Star-Spangled Squadron. After the Allied victory, Colonel Lee would stay on as the leader of the Squadron while the 2nd Special Services was disbanded

Shrouded in mystery, mayhem, and murder, Baron Samedi has crossed paths with Yellow Jacket on many occasions during the vigilante’s lifetime. Baron Samedi can usually be found at the crossroads between the worlds of death and the living as both the master of the dead and giver of life. He can cure mortals of any disease or wound, so long as he thinks it is worthwhile.
